Educators Professional Liability
- The Alabama Conference of Educators provides Certificated and Associate members Educators Professional Liability Insurance. (Note: Administrators are not eligible for this coverage)
- $1,000,000 of liability coverage, win or lose, when you are sued by a parent or student in relation to the performance of your duties on or off school grounds.
- Up to $7,500 in criminal defense coverage, win or lose, when you are charged with a crime in relation to your duties
- Up to $7,500 in Employment Rights defense coverage when your employment rights have been violated.
- $2,000 bail bond
- $10,000 Personal Identity Theft coverage

Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
The Alabama Conference of Educators provides Certificated and Associate members with $10,000 of Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance.

Claims
To file a claim for the accidental death or dismemberment of an active member of the Alabama Conference of Educators (ACOE), please call the ACOE office toll free at (866) 266-2263
Beneficiary Designation
If there is no designated beneficiary or no designated beneficiary is living after the insured’s death, the benefits will be paid, in equal shares, to the survivors in the first surviving class of those that follow: the insured’s (1) spouse; (2) children; (3) parents; or (4) brother and sisters. If no class has a survivor, the beneficiary is the insured’s estate.
